Sandy Marshall

Sandy has spent her career doing the work that keeps organizations running—and seeing firsthand what happens when the operations behind the mission, strategy, and growth aren't keeping pace.

Her experience spans financial management, organizational operations, administration, people leadership, systems and process improvement, and executive decision support. She has managed budgets and forecasts, strengthened internal infrastructure, led teams, worked alongside executives and boards, and stepped into organization-wide leadership when the work required it.

That breadth matters.

Because an operational challenge rarely belongs to just one department. A financial issue may actually be a process issue. A capacity problem may point to unclear roles. A technology problem may reveal a broken workflow. And what looks like one isolated frustration can be a symptom of something much larger.

Sandy knows how to find those connections.

She brings the perspective of someone who has been responsible for the work—not simply someone brought in to observe it. Her approach combines strategic thinking with practical execution, allowing her to move between the big picture and the details that determine whether something will actually work.

And she doesn't arrive with a predetermined answer.

“My role isn’t to walk in and tell you how your organization should work. It’s to understand what’s happening, ask the questions that uncover what’s underneath it, and help build something that works for you.”

Sandy holds a Master of Business Administration and brings extensive experience in organizational leadership and operations. Her experience and perspective ultimately became the foundation for BlackOak Consulting.
